Job Description

The Data Analyst will play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful insights that support operational efficiency, commercial decision‑making, and strategic planning across the group. This role ensures data accuracy, develops impactful reports and dashboards, and partners with multiple departments to drive data‑driven business performance.



Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Management & Analysis
  • Collect, consolidate, and validate data from subsidiaries, ERP systems, data warehouses, and external sources.
  • Analyse large datasets (quantitative and qualitative) to identify trends, patterns, risks, inefficiencies, and commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all output.
  • Clean, transform, and model datasets to support analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Apply statistical techniques and basic predictive modelling to support scenario planning.
  • Convert complex data into clear insights, dashboards, and commentary that guide business decisions.
  • Help maintain master data and support improvements to data architecture, business rules, and definitions.
  1. Reporting & Insights
  • Develop, automate, and maintain monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc reporting packs for senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain dynamic dashboards (e.g., Power BI) that improve visibility into business and operational performance.
  • Provide narrative commentary and actionable insights that support budgeting, planning, and performance reviews.
  • Identify anomalies, variances, and unusual trends; recommend corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Standardise reporting templates and ensure consistency across group entities.
  • Present analytical outputs in concise, well‑structured formats for decision‑makers.
  • Support business cases with data-driven scenarios, validations, and simple financial/operational projections.
  • Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance indicators across the organisation.
  1. Collaboration & Business Support
  • Work with Finance, Operations, Sales, IT, and Executive stakeholders to align reporting with business priorities.
  • Understand operational and commercial drivers to identify opportunities for efficiency, growth, margin uplift, or risk mitigation.
  • Support cross-functional projects involving new systems, integrations, reporting tools, or data structures.
  • Provide training or guidance to business users on dashboards, reporting tools, and data processes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for data-related queries and troubleshooting from subsidiaries.
  • Assist with analytics, modelling, data alignment, and cross-functional initiatives.
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate current reporting and data processes; recommend enhancements and automation opportunities.
  • Support adoption of new analytics tools, BI platforms, AI capabilities, and automation technologies.
  • Contribute to improving data literacy and strengthening the internal data culture.
  • Stay up to date with analytics trends, BI technologies, and best practices.
  • Support improvements in data quality, governance controls, and audit processes.
  • Drive initiatives that improve data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility.
  1. Additional Responsibilities
  • Engage in ad‑hoc analysis, investigations, scenario modelling, and root‑cause assessments.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, data mapping, testing, and post‑implementation reviews.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data securely at all times.
  • Perform other tasks or special projects as required by business needs.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Education

  • BSC in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in data analytics, BI tools, or data modelling (advantageous).

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modelling).
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Solid understanding of SQL, data querying, and relational databases.
  • Experience in data cleaning, transformation, and modelling.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, and data visualisation principles.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, data warehouses, and integrated data environments (advantageous).
  • Ability to work with large datasets from multiple sources.

Experience

  • +2 years’ experience in a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience producing executive-level reports, dashboards, and analytical insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities from complex datasets.
  • Experience working in cross‑functional environments (Finance, Operations, Sales, IT, etc.).
